The Brick Shop has been proudly New Zealand-owned and operated since 2019.
Owners Grant Gordon and David Shortt possess extensive masonry knowledge and skills, and are respected players within the industry. Over the years, the pair has made significant contributions through the Masonry Trades Association of New Zealand. Essentially, they have ‘been there done that’ when it comes to bricks!
Grant and David completed their brick-and-block-laying apprenticeships, working extensively across many facets of the industry, both locally and in Australia.
The pair individually went on to other areas within the masonry industry, building on their foundations of knowledge and practical experience. Both men have been rightfully successful in establishing and growing reputable businesses – covering all bases; concrete, blocks, bricks and laying!
In 2019, when the opportunity presented itself to deliver a quality product at a comparable price, offering New Zealand customers an extension to the then-current Clay Brick Range, The Brick Shop was established.
Grant took on the sole role of ‘steering the ship’ for a period. As the business grew, an additional salesperson was added to the team.
In 2023, The Brick Shop is a well-established business, having built up a solid and loyal client base ranging from independent builders and group housing builders, to both small and large developers.
